#9 How is this story relevant to the reader who doesn't live on the coast?

My neighbor, who's a Harkers Island native, would probably say, "You mean there's somebody who doesn't live here yet?" But, truthfully, there aren't a lot of inside jokes or fishing stories in Saltwater Cowboys. Nobody needed to go to Newfoundland to enjoy The Shipping News, and The Bridges of Madison County didn't require any particular interest in covered bridges. It's true that a reader in Iowa will learn something about what's going on down yonder at the coast, but that's all secondary to the story.

#10 As a reader, I can think of several memorable scenes. Do you have a favorite? If so, which?

My favorite has to be the net prank in Raleigh. Second place might go to the image of Shutterspeed coming in all tangled in Johnny's shrimp trawl.
